Pangea Trails operates with Toyota Quantum’s which are chosen for their practicality and reliability. They seat up to 10 clients each so that the maximum number of clients on tour is 20 with two vehicles. All luggage will be transported in trailers with the vehicles.
Rescue and medical assistance
In the unlikely event of rescue and medical assistance being needed, other than that provided by Pangea Trails, the client or his/her insurance company shall be liable for the entire cost thereof.
Baggage on all our tours will be strictly limited to one large bag (barrel bag or internal framed backpack), weighing a maximum of 20kg. We will also allow a smaller hand luggage bag or camera bag per person. In order to prevent complications on vehicles this allowance must be adhered to. Suitcases will not be permitted!
Kit list and final instructions
On receipt of your deposit we will send you a suggested kit list as a guide as to what to bring along as well as further useful information. You will also receive a receipt confirmation which will display both the time and point of departure and return. Please ensure you read it carefully.
Pre and post tour
We recommend that our guests arrive 2 to 3 days (or even more) before the tour departs if they are interested in experiencing Johannesburg, Soweto and the surrounding area. The tour departs from Brown Sugar Backpackers, and they provide collections from the airport.
We recommend you to extend your stay in Cape Town for at least another three days so that you can take in the city’s cool vibes. Sunset from the top of the mountain is a must. Ashanti Backpackers has a travel centre that will help you arrange daytrips and tours in around Cape Town.
